Vinayaka Missions Kirupananda Variyar Medical College Salem is one of the prestigious institutes was founded in the year 1995.  It is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University. Vinayaka Missions Medical College is most popularly known as VMMC Chennai. With a foresighted vision to improve health care needs of local population, to contribute towards the advances of Medical sciences and to provide more opportunity to the rural community to peruse Medical education, the Vinayaka Mission’s Educational Trust, with a great zeal , in 1991, started its first Medical College at Salem , Tamil Nadu and Offers under graduate program. The College having good infrastructure facilities, class rooms, laboratories, library and well qualified and experienced teaching faculty, to facilitate academic and non-academic programs. The College was approved and recognized by the Government and Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. This is a constituent college of the Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation Deemed University (VMRF-DU) Salem. Hostel facility is available for its students.
