Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Ahmednagar was established in 2003. It is also approved by UGC. The Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences is a Deemed University presently offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and Diploma level programs. The University is unique in more than one way and it is specialized in medical and health sciences with a dedication to serving the society as a center of excellence with an emphasis on socially meaningful medical education, health care, and research. The objective of the Institute is to lay a foundation and create advanced academic and research environment for medical and other health science manpower that would identify and deal effectively with peculiar problems faced in implementing a comprehensive rural health care package in the country. The college offers undergraduate course in medicine (M.B.B.S) and postgraduate degree (M.D/M.S) and diploma programmes in 20 medical disciplines. Hostel facility is available for its students.
