Nitte University is situated in Mangalore in Karnataka state of India. Established in 1979, and it is affiliated to Nitte University. Recognising the growing need and awareness for rehabilitation medicine in the field of health care, NET established the Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy in 1997. The Institute is now a constituent unit of the Nitte University, recognised by the Government of India and the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). Located at the Medical Sciences Complex at Deralakatte, Mangalore, Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy imparts degree and postgraduate courses in Physiotherapy. The college offers excellent facilities for practical training at the sophisticated multispeciality Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital. Hostel facility is available for its students.
