The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established in Maharashtra in 1933 as the Department of chemical technology. The Institute currently has many branches across the country and the main Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) is located in Mumbai. The institute offers four years full time Bachelor of Pharmacy course.The Pharmaceutical Technology course is part of the B. Tech. programme, earlier B.Sc. (Tech.), dealing with manufacture of pharmaceuticals and drugs, and has all the ingredients of solid foundation in basic sciences, mathematics, computation and chemical engineering. B. Tech. (Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals) was started in 1940s, when the B. Sc. (Tech.) course was expanded. Several distinguished alumni had their training in this discipline. Hostel facility is available for its students.
