MBBS is one of the best true careers for students who want to serve the country in medical sciences and do not take it as a profession. Being a Career Counselor and founder of My College Khoj for 15 years, I have been consulting thousands of students on various options available for MBBS abroad and India. Of course, there prevails a lot of perception of different people.

So here I am writing to you as to what I think is the best country for MBBS

If your NEET score is more than 600+ in NEET UG and you get a seat in a government medical College in India than I would say you should definitely study in India.

If you are scoring 500+ in NEET-UG then I think you can take a risk of dropping out a year and focus on getting 600+ marks which will make you admit in any of the Government colleges in India at a really low cost. Now let us consider if your score is less than 500 and you do not want to take a drop for a year then the best decision is to either take admission in any of the top Government College in abroad (which will have lower fees) or a private top College in India which will obviously have high fees of approximately 60 lakhs to 1.5 crores for a full course.

IRCC announces priority processing of study-permit application to facilitate online learning for international student for FALL. 2020.

The visa will be approved in two stages i.e APPROVAL IN PRINCIPAL (AIP) and
“ELIGIBILITY/ADMISSIBILITY”:

• Applicant accepted at a Canadian learning institution, having the required funds and eligible for a study permit will receive an AIP.
• Applicants can then begin studying online in their home country and this time will be counted towards their post study work visa subject to atleast 50% of their program is completed in Canada.
• An applicant will receive final approval once they have met all remaining eligibility and admissibility requirements, including submitting biometric and necessary documents. After a final approval is received the applicant will be able to travel to Canada.

International flights Resume date in India: According to Puri, Air France will operate 28 flights between Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to Paris from July 18 till August 1 while United Air will operate 18 flights between Delhi, Mumbai to Newark till 31 July.

Announcing the resumption of international commercial flights, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday said India had established individual bilateral bubbles with France and the US that would allow airlines of these countries to operate flights. Puri said air bridges or air bubbles would be the way to resume international air travel amid the Covid-19pandemic.

“Till international civil aviation can reclaim its pre-COVID numbers, I think answer will lie through bilateral air bubbles which will carry a possible number of people but under defined conditions as countries are still imposing entry restrictions incl India,” he said.

The concept of air bridges is based on reciprocity with the said countries allowing Indian citizens to fly into their borders and India allowing their citizens to fly into its borders.

Addressing a press conference, Puri said Air France would be operating 28 flights between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Paris from July 18 to August 1 while American carrier United Airlines would be flying 18 flights between India and the US from July 17 to July 31.

“They (United) are flying a daily flight between Delhi and Newark and a thrice-a-week flight between Delhi and San Francisco,” Puri said.

The minister further said India was planning to establish a bubble with the UK soon, under which there would be two flights per day between Delhi and London. “We have request from German carriers to permit flights to India and we are processing it,” he said.

From India, Air India will be operating flights to France and US under these bubbles. Scheduled international passenger flights have been suspended in India since March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Puri also said that by Diwali this year, at least 55-60 per cent of pre-Covid domestic flights will be operating in India.

Glenmark pharmaceuticals on Saturday launched anti-viral drug favipiravir for treatment of mild-to-moderate covid-19 cases after it received the Indian drug regulator’s approval.

It will be available under the brand name FabiFlu as a prescription based medicine for Rs 103/ tablet and the recommended dose is 1800 mg two times in a day on DAY 1 and remaining 13 days the dosage should be of 800 mg.

Glenmark received the approval for manufacturing & marketing Favipiravir from the drug controller general of India on Friday.

Favipiravir is backed by strong clinical evidence, showing encouraging result in patient with mild to moderate Covid-19. It offers broad spectrum RNA virus coverage with clinical improvement noted in 20-90 plus age group.

The best news is Favipiravir could be used for covid-19 patient with comorbid condition, like diabetes & heart disease; the company said and added, it would offer rapid reduction in viral load within four days, & faster symptomatic and radiological improvement.
