Universities are able to organise double, multiple or joint degree programs with other foreign universities. These degree programmes allow participating students to complete part of their university career abroad and obtain a degree recognised in two countries.

• mobility: students attend part of their career at the university in Italy and part at the foreign universities involved
• A big benefit to students is that by participating in these double degree programs, they are exempted from the payment of tuition fees at the foreign university
• The programs are designed such that there is full recognition of activities carried out at the foriegn university (outside of Italy). This is possible because of the integrated study plan that is drawn up and agreed upon by the Italian University working closely with the foreign university and in line with the individual universities international mobility regulation

So, what’s the benefit?

At the end of the program,the students who opt for this program can avail a double degree (one from the Italian University and one from the partner foreign university), or a multiple degree (one from the Italian University and at least two foreign partner universities) or a joint degree (a single degree awarded by both the Italian university and the partner university)
